Mission

Statement

The mission of Cub Scout Pack 199 is to provide each scout a safe, exciting and valuable Cub Scouting experience to prepare him for the challenges of scouting, while developing the necessary life skills to help him succeed in future endeavors. Pack 199 embraces the values of citizenship, caring, compassion, cooperation, teamwork, courage, faith, personal health, physical fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, responsibility, dependability, and leadership skills.

It is the objective of Cub Pack 199 to deliver the BSA Cub Scout program to the community by:

  1. Providing fun and adventure through quality programs, den and pack meetings and year-round activities that promote participation and individual growth, provide service to others, build self-confidence and reinforce ethical standards.

  2. Promoting strong family values and improving understanding within the family by working on projects together, going places together and talking together.

  3. Teaching outdoor skills and respect for the environment

  4. Strengthening boys' and girls' ability to get along with others and respect others, while sharing numerous positive experiences with other young people who they will remember for the rest of their lives.

  5. Positively influencing character development, instilling values and encouraging spiritual growth.

  6. Helping boys and girls develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship.

  7. Fostering a sense of personal achievement by allowing boys and girls to try new things and helping them develop new interests and skills.

  8. Building a positive growth foundation for scouts to become self-reliant and independent

  9. Preparing boys and girls for Scouts BSA.

  10. Showing how to be helpful and do one's best.

We believe in having solid leadership and a good structure and foundation for our boys to learn and grow. We strive to be a premiere youth organization in the communities we serve.
